Agenda Item 6.

Provide a forum for coordination of HHS responses to external requests for HHS actions on issues related to health and social services data.

Objective 1. Coordinate responses to external requests for action on issues related to health and human services data.

This agenda item requires that the Data Council maintain the flexibility to establish ad hoc working groups on a reactive basis as issues are identified. Specific action items (examples):

  1. Develop/coordinate HHS responses to legislative proposals relating to health and social services data.
  2. Complete one year report for the Vice President.
  3. Coordinate and monitor HHS participation in international health data activities such as G7.
  4. Develop/coordinate policies regarding federal-state relationships regarding health and social services data.
