Less than half of all workers are in firms of size 500 or more where more than 80% of workers have ESI.
A large proportion of American workers are in firms with low probabilities of having ESI. A quarter are in firms with fewer than 25 workers where 60% or fewer workers have ESI. A majority are in firms of under 500 workers where under 80% of the workers have ESI.
